Hello everyone,
Meet Pearl. Easy going and cheery. She happened to be my primary school classmate and imagine my joy when she contacted me in August to be her makeup artist on her day. Such an honour!

Meet my first traditional bride of the year Sandra who happens to be sister to the talented photographer Ekow Blay Photography. I was contacted and booked 7 months ago for her tradtional and bridal makeover. She had seen the bedazzling makeover i did for her sis-in-law and brothers wife, Doreen and decided to book me.
During her consultation, she let me on that her traditional get up was with a modern twist. She showed a pic of a kente tied gele and i was hesitant that i could do same. So she later told me that she had someone tie the kente into a gele and all that was needed was fixing it on the day. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Fast forward to the day of her traditional marriage ceremony, i got there only to realize the head tie wasn't well done. So i decided to take a risk and remove the pins and re-tie it. Thank God it came out as perfect as the picture she had initially sent me and everyone in the room was pleased.
Now when the time came to be presented, she danced gracefully like the queen she is and she later told me that her hubby approved of it as he hadn't seen her in makeup like that before. Yes!
For her makeup it was left to me to decide which was good my only gripe was the refusal to wear false lashes. Oh well sometimes i can't always have my way right? But imagine how some flared out lashes would have made this pop even more? So on the lids i used a mixture of blush pink and copper eye shadows. Her skin was pretty much flawless to begin with so after foundation application i highlighted and contoured to add dimension to her face. I opted for red lips to add some pow to the overall look and it worked!

Meet the first Beautique Bride of 2016. So excited to share this with you. Nana Ama booked me to do her wedding makeup as far back as March last year ie approximately 10 months ago.
We had been talking and then finally met up for a trial in December. By then she had her engagement and was able to deduce the sort of makeup she wanted for her wedding. She agreed on the first look i did for her.
On the day of her wedding, i got to her dress up location very early which was the University of Ghana Guest Center. The wedding was at the Legon Catholic Church so it was a good decision to dress up close by.
After doing her skin prep i began by filling in and defining her brows after which i highlighted beneath the brow bone.
Can we talk about how her skin looks flawless? I maintained the look we did during the trial and I must say it was hit! I applied her shade of foundation, did some slight highlighting and contouring to add dimension to her face.
For her lips i lined and filled in with a brown lip liner and then used a mixture of nude lipsticks to create a suitable colour and then topped of with Maybelline Color Show Lip Gloss. I love the dazzling effect it has on certain lip colours.
Her photographer Butterfly Moments Gh was kind enough to send me some professional pictures which are beautiful shots by the way. Nana Ama said some kind words to me after the wedding and i'm happy she was pleased with the services i provided her.
Thank you Nana Ama for choosing Beautique to share in your day. For bookings call on 0236800069
kisses,
Annette
